ARSENAL FOOTBALL CLUB

Arsenal is one of the biggest and most successful Premier League football clubs in the world. Since its origins in 1886, the club has won 13 league titles (including one ‘Invincible’ season), a record 14 FA Cups, two League Cups, 16 FA Community Shields, the League Centenary Trophy, one European Cup Winners' Cup, and one Inter-Cities Fairs Cup.

Founded as ‘Dial Square’ by Woolwich munitions workers, Arsenal was the first club from the South of England to join The Football League, in 1893, and they reached the First Division in 1904. Relegated only once, in 1913, they continue the longest continuous run in the top division. The club moved across the city to North London, Highbury, in 1913.

The club's first Golden era came with the appointment of Herbert Chapman as Manager in 1925. He brought the club its first silverware, and his legacy led the club to dominate the 1930s.

The most successful, and longest-serving, Manager in the club’s history is Arséne Wenger. He led Arsenal from 1996 to 2018, winning a record seven FA Cups and three Premier League titles.

Following 93 years at Highbury, Arsenal relocated to Emirates Stadium in 2006.
